Key Takeaways
- TRUMP’s top 185 holders on an official leaderboard can qualify for the Nov. 22 gala.
- TRUMP’s top 29 holders get VIP access, while the top four can score 18K gold watches.
- TRUMP trades near $2, roughly 97% below its January 2025 peak.
The price of admission to another dinner with President Donald Trump isn’t printed on a ticket: It’s sitting on a crypto leaderboard. The TRUMP meme coin team announced Oct. 1 that 185 top-ranked meme coin holders can qualify for a Nov. 22 gala at Trump National Golf Club in Washington, while the biggest holders get a crack at VIP treatment and 18-karat gold watches.
The contest has an odd backdrop. TRUMP trades around $2 per unit after changing hands near $74 at its January 2025 peak, just days after launch. In other words, holders are being asked to keep their chips on the table while the coin sits roughly 97% below its high.
Hold More, Hold Longer, Climb Higher?
The machinery is simple enough: Hold TRUMP, register a wallet, and climb a leaderboard that rewards both the size of the stash and how long it stays put. The official site says the top 185 holders earn seats at the Nov. 22 gala, while the top 29 of them qualify for a VIP reception with Trump and one of three still-unnamed “legends.” Priority seating is also part of the package. The top four VIPs who maintain their rank through the required snapshot can also score an 18-karat Trump-branded gold watch.
There’s more swag for attendees. The advertised gift bag includes TRUMP fragrance, a commemorative poster and trading card, and a “Fight Fight Fight” watch. No attendance, no bag however; the goods won’t be shipped afterward. The contest effectively turns holding a meme coin into an auction in which nobody knows the final price of a chair.
The Clock Rewards Those Who Sit Tight
This isn’t simply a richest-wallet contest. The leaderboard uses time-weighted holdings, meaning somebody sitting on a large pile of TRUMP for longer can outrank a buyer who barrels in late. Standings update daily, and selling out drops a wallet from the board. The website says that the final snapshot comes on Nov. 12, ahead of the Nov. 22 dinner.
The rules also put extra pressure on VIP qualifiers to keep their coins. Dropping below the required balance after the snapshot can cost them bonus perks even if their dinner invitation survives. And there’s one particularly pointed piece of fine print: The site says there will be no private meet-and-greet with U.S. President Trump.
First Dinner Drew an Estimated $148 Million
On May 22, 2025, the top 220 holders gathered at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, for the project’s first major dinner. Reuters, citing Inca Digital, estimated investors spent $148 million on TRUMP while competing for seats. The top 25 accounted for more than $111 million of that amount. Tron network founder Justin Sun finished first, and the top 25 holders received access to a VIP reception.
Trump arrived by helicopter, addressed the room, and then left after roughly an hour. Protesters gathered outside. Some attendees later complained that the access and meal didn’t live up to expectations. The project then returned in April 2026 with another gathering at Mar-a-Lago for roughly the top 297 holders, keeping the benefits coming for true TRUMP believers.
A $2 Coin With an Expensive Guest List
The latest announcement briefly jolted TRUMP about 10% to roughly $2.25 before the move faded fast. By Oct. 1, at 3:40 p.m. Eastern time, it was changing hands around $2.05, seeing a modest 1.5% daily lift from the announcement. That’s a mighty long fall from the roughly $73 to $75 territory reached around Jan. 19, 2025. Like many meme coins launched in 2025, the token is now about 97% below that peak, although hundreds of millions of dollars in daily trading volume show plenty of chips are still moving around the table.
The official site also draws a careful corporate line around the operation, stating that gettrumpmemes.com “is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign or any political office.” It says TRUMP isn’t distributed or sold by Trump, the Trump Organization, or their affiliates.
So there it sits: a roughly $2 meme coin, 185 dinner chairs, 29 VIP spots, four gold watches, and a trio of mystery guests. The leaderboard decides who gets through the door.
